Vantage point

Yesterday I saw the movie Vantage Point with Forest Witaker, Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox, Sigourny Weaver and William Hurt. I saw the trailer a few months before in the cinema and I really expected a lot.

A short synopsis:

In Columbia Pictures’ action-packed thriller Vantage Point, eight strangers with eight different points of view try to unlock the one truth behind an assassination attempt on the president of the United States. Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) and Kent Taylor (Mathew Fox) are two Secret Service agents assigned to protect President Ashton (William Hurt) at a landmark summit on the global war on terror. When President Ashton is shot moments after his arrival in Spain, chaos ensues and disparate lives collide in the hunt for the assassin. In the crowd is Howard Lewis (Forest Whitaker), an American tourist who thinks he’s captured the shooter on his camcorder while videotaping the event for his kids back home. Also there, relaying the historic event to millions of TV viewers across the globe, is American TV news producer Rex Brooks (Sigourney Weaver). As they and others reveal their stories, the pieces of the puzzle will fall into place – and it will become apparent that shocking motivations lurk just beneath the surface. –© Sony Pictures

In the movie you will see the same thing each time from another character’s perspective, the one and only minuspoint with this is that at the fourth time you could hear everyone in the cinema sigh and say déja-vue. The idea of the perspectives was great, but they should have shortened some scenes that were shown every time and that were the same.

But the end makes it all worthwhile! When you take the little minuspoint of those repeats away than this movie is really great, all the pieces of the story come together at the end. It’s also a good movie to see with your girlfriend/wife. It has action, but not too much! Most of all it’s just thrilling!

8/10

Layout update

I worked hard today to get the layout fixed and I must say it’s starting to get quite good :p The only thing I still have to change is the sidebar background so it’s not blue anymore but more a red or graytint.

Suggestions can always be placed in the comments or mailed at info@vingerhogle.com

The drivers on the D-Link website just didn’t want to work, I was able to install the driver, but windows kept seeking for a driver which he ofcourse didn’t find… Thanks to the 9lives forum I got a driver that works perfect!

Since I couldn’t find the solution with Google I want to share this with you for all those who have the same problem and also spend hours searching for a solution. So here is the download:
